When studying via second-chance education (zweiter Bildungsweg), student health insurance is possible beyond your 30th year of age. The Social Court Dortmund decided this in its decision from 23.01.2007 S 40 KR 179/05. The age limit is extended for the period of time during which one studies at a Kolleg to attain the general qualification for entrance to an institute of higher learning.
