The German Institute for Community Catering (Deutsches Institut für Gemeinschaftsverflegung) has developed, and is obligated to, the following guidelines:

- The food and drink that we serve is geared towards the health and well-being of our guests and is prepared in accordance with the recommendations made by scholarly organizations such as the German Nutrition Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ernährung).
- In our modern kitchens, we use high quality and fresh foodstuffs. Quality at a reasonable price is our highest priority.
- The whole production process is carried out in accordance with a strict and documented hygiene concept.
- Next to quality and healthiness of our meals, ecological questions, animal welfare, and the protection of species are of a high priority to us.
- We work together with partners who are certified, have high qualifications, and can guarantee the traceability of the product to its sources.
- We place fairness in the foreground when entering into business with our partners, but there are no compromises when it comes to the quality and healthiness of our products for our clients.
- We strive to create an adequate number of trainee positions for all of the professions in our branch and support the further development of training and further training opportunities.
- Our staffs determine the success of our facilities. We support them therefore in a diverse and systematic manner.
- We commit ourselves to do everything possible to make our branch’s image as positive as possible.
