Students need a balanced diet. There is a saying in German: Ein leerer Bauch studiert nicht gern. An empty stomach doesn’t study well. To help you in your studies, the Studentenwerk Potsdam offers in our dining facilities and cafeterias a large number of healthy, varied, and trendy meals as well as a large variety of refreshing drinks. Our dining halls are certified in accordance with the directive (EU) no. 2092/91 under the eco inspection code DE-ÖKO-070 and are thus entitled to service organic products. In order to meet the high standards of our guests, the dining halls and cafeterias of the Studentenwerk Potsdam have been either renovated or newly constructed in the past years. Large, modern food serving areas and a friendly eating atmosphere not only offer a lot of room for culinary pursuits, but are also frequently used as spaces for communication and interaction. Around 7,500 guests visit our dining halls every day during the lecture period of the semester. The Studentenwerk Potsdam receives a subsidy for the dining facilities from the federal state of Brandenburg. In the cafeterias, one can eat freshly prepared snacks for fair prices as well. We are very conscious of our responsibility to our guests when preparing and serving food and thus are participating in the quality offensive for the implementation of the DIG guidelines in the dining facilities of institutes of higher learning.
