Furnishings and Amenities

The rooms are fully equipped with wardrobe, bed, desk and chair, shelf, and mobile container. Please bring bedding (sheets, blankets, and a pillow) with you. A mattress is provided to you. The flooring is linoleum and the windows are equipped with suspensions for curtains.

A fuse box is located in the hallway of every flat. In case power outage, one should check there first. In every room there are two outlets especially for computers can be found. These are marked accordingly. There are enough outlets for electric devices such as television or radio.

Every room has a phone outlet. For telephone use, one must enter into contract with a telephone service provider.

Every room has a cable outlet for television and radio. In order to use television, please register with the GEZ (public television fee entity in Germany). As a student it is possible to apply for a waiver of fees at the Office for Youth, Social Affairs, and Residency (Amt für Jugend, Soziales und Wohnen) in Potsdamer Straße 18.

Trash containers are located near the entrance of Zanderstraße 10a next to the secure area for bicycles. The room keys also work for the trash container area, the secure area for bicycles, and all passageway doors.
