Virtual Tour
The three complexes of the residence Breite Straße are located right in the Potsdam city. The main train station is only a few minutes away by foot. Trains, s-trains, busses, and street cars depart from this station. Thus, it is easy to visit Berlin and the surroundings of Potsdam.
The campuses of the University of Potsdam are within a short distance from this housing complex, as is the Academy for Film and Television (Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen). You can also reach the location of the Friedrich-Ebert-Straße campus of University of Applied Sciences Potsdam (Fachhochschule Potsdam) in just a few minutes by foot. There also you can find one of our dining halls.
The Lustgarten (a park in Potsdam) is near by, as is the Freundschaftsinsel (an island in the city centre) and the departure point of the Weisse Flotte. This housing complex offers many types of recreation close by.
Nearby you can find the Film Museum, St. Nicolas Church, and other important historical and cultural sights.
The student club Pub à la Pub is located directly in the basement of one of the residence halls. An internet cafe is also located close by.  For students with children, three day mothers for the children of students are located in house 18 for up to 14 children. Please click here for more information. Parking is available to the rear of the houses. Bikes can be stored in the cellars of the residence halls or in the entrance area of each house. A workout room managed by the university sports centre (Zentrum für Hochschulsport) can be used by students and tenants. It is located in the Breite Straße 7. Laundry rooms are located in the residence halls. |
