Furnishings and Amenities
Furnishing The rooms are fully equipped with wardrobe, bed, desk and chair, and shelf. Please bring bedding (sheets, blankets, and a pillow) with you. Electronics, Telephone, and Cable Connection All rooms are equipped with connections for television and telephone. In order to use television, please register with the GEZ (public television fee entity in Germany). For telephone use, one must enter into contract with a telephone service provider. There are a sufficient number of outlets in each room for electronic appliances. You must also provide your own lighting for your flat or room. Laundry Because the residence hall is situated in a normal rental there is no own laundry room. Students are welcome to use the washing machines and dryers in the laundry room of the residence halls Stahnsdorfer Straße, which is ten minutes away by foot in house 146. In order to use the machines, you must obtain a wash card for a small deposit of 10€ from the service point in the Studentenwerk Potsdam’s central office. Trash Removal Trash containers are located near the residence hall. Cellar Space Every flat is provided with a room in the cellar for storage, including bike storage. |
