All nine houses in the student village are built in the same manner.

Each flat is equipped with a kitchen and bathroom with shower, toilet, and wash basin. All rooms are equipped with connections for television and telephone. In order to use television, please register with the GEZ (public television fee entity in Germany). For telephone use, one must enter into contract with a telephone service provider. Internet is provided by the University of Potsdam and is available as WLAN in all flats. All flats also have an intercom.

For students with disabilities, the student village offers handicapped accessible accommodations. These two room flats are located in houses 140B, 142B, 146B, and 148B.

Public Transportation

The University of Potsdam’s campus Griebnitzsee and the train station Griebnitzsee are only two minutes away by foot. One can take the s-train S7 to Potsdam’s main train station in seven minutes. The regional train the two campuses Griebnitzsee and Golm. It runs hourly and will take you there or back in 15 minutes.

The following busses stop near the village: BUS 696, BUS 694, and N15.

Shopping

Shopping is possible near the village at a market (Spar) behind the train station Griebnitzsee and at a market (Aldi) near the train station Babelsberg.

In seven minutes by train, one can travel to Potsdam’s main train station for shopping in its mall.

A shopping mall (Sterncenter) is only 15 minutes away via bus 694.
