How do I Get Accommodations?
- Please apply for accommodations as early as possible when you are interested in living in a residence hall in Brandenburg an der Havel, Potsdam, or Wildau, independent from whether you have already been accepted for studies or whether you have already enrolled.
- Please complete the online application form and send it to us. You will receive an automatically-generated confirmation.
- In a timely manner, your application will be checked to see if it has been completed correctly. If you are allowed to live in a student residence, then we will send you your applicant number. Please include this number in all further correspondence.
- Please send us your acceptance letter (Zulassungsbescheid), certificate of enrolment (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung), or other proof of enrolment in an institute of higher learning in our area of responsibility as soon as possible.
- If you are already a student at an institute of higher learning in our area of responsibility, then please send us a current certificate of enrolment (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung) as soon as possible.
- If we have open rooms, then you will receive an offer from us. The date of receipt of your application determines the order in which rooms are provided. Please note the confirmation date stated in our offer. The offer loses its validity after this date.
- Please confirm in writing or via e-mail your acceptance of our offer. Please do not forget to include your applicant number in all correspondence. Afterwards, you will receive from us a date before which you must have signed your contract with the Studentenwerk Potsdam. Please note our office hours. If you fail to sign the contract before this date, we no longer consider our offer to be binding. Please contact us with any difficulties.
- When you accept our offer, a deposit in the amount of 200€ must be made prior to signing the contract.

The prerequisite for being allowed to live in a student residence is enrolment in an institute of higher learning within the area of responsibility of the Studentenwerk Potsdam (see Home)
