On November 11th 2018 the Studentenwerk Potsdam’s Board of Directors was newly constituted. Professor Dr. Robert Seckler – Vice President for Research and Junior Academics at the University of Potsdam – remains Chairman of the Board.
As a public figure (with relevant expertise in the economic, legal and social fields acc. to § 4 para. 1 point 3StWVO) Mike Schubert, the Lord Mayor of the city of Potsdam, was elected to be a member of the Board.
In the field of non-university members acc. to § 4 para. 1 point 2 StWVO, no personnel changes have been made. The representatives are: Martin Jank (Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, Chancellor), Thomas Lehne (Technical University of Applied Science Wildau, Chancellor) and Prof. Dr. Enrico Sass (Fachhochschule Potsdam). Also, the designated president of the Technical University of Applied Science Brandenburg, Prof. Dr. Andreas Wilms (TH Brandenburg, Vice President for Teaching and International Affairs), remains a member.
The student representatives sent the following student members: Karl Borowski (FH Potsdam), Kay Neumann (TH Wildau), Leo Vermeulen and Lukas Zechner (both University of Potsdam), Willy Seemann (TH Brandenburg) and Philipp Eichel (Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF).
Dr. Sonja Rademacher from the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg remains representative of the responsible state government members for the universities acc. § 4 para. 1 point 4 StWVO.

The Board of Directors advises and decides on affairs of the student union of fundamental importance, unless stipulated otherwise by this law or the articles of association. At the meeting on November 26th 2018, the business plan for 2019 was confirmed.
In the year of 2019, the Board of Directors is scheduled to have three meetings. The first of which will take place on February 25th 2019.
