Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF Film finally has its own canteen! The catering facility, operated by the Studentenwerk Potsdam, will open its doors for the first time on May 10 in the newly inaugurated House 6.
With a total of 100 seats indoors and another 120 seats on a large weather-protected outdoor terrace, the canteen serves the 850 students and 420 employees of the film university. The concept includes an increased focus on a vegetarian-vegan offering. There will be a lot of homemade food, such as homemade lemonades, as well as front cooking in the open kitchen area. There will be 3 dishes on the menu daily. Students pay between €1.60 and €2.60 for lunch, staff and external guests between €3.10 and €4.50.
Due to pandemic-related circumstances, the Mensa will only offer a take away menu for the time being. Breakfast to go is served from 8 a.m. with sandwiches, fruit salad and egg dishes. Between 11:30 a.m. and 13:30 p.m., there will be two dishes to choose for lunch from each day. Own take-away containers are welcome, but can also be purchased on site for an additional charge of 30 cents.
The cafeteria team is looking forward to the first guests in the new Film University cafeteria and is also happy to receive feedback on the menu.
