We would like to welcome all new, old and international students in Potsdam, Brandenburg an der Havel and Wildau to the start of the new semester.
The start of a semester is an exciting time, with many questions that have no place in lecture halls and seminar rooms. We are here to answer them.
In order to provide all students with the best possible support, we have updated and expanded our annual first-semester brochure. This year, for the first time, the brochure "Sans Souci - Studying without Worries" is available bilingually in German and English.
The brochure contains a lot of information worth knowing about questions such as
- "Where can I find affordable accommodation?"
- "How do I finance my studies?
- "Who will help me with the paperwork?"
- "Who will help me when I'm worried?"
- "Where can I eat a healthy and inexpensive lunch?"
Whether it is the provision of affordable housing, assistance with questions regarding the BAföG application, the offer of a healthy lunch, counseling in difficult times, or finding a job - the first-semester brochure provides a detailed overview of all topics concerning student life.
In addition, the Studentenwerk Potsdam is available to all students for advice and assistance during telephone and personal office hours. At the start of the semester, we can also be found at various events at the universities we support and answer all questions outside the lecture hall.
